Good evidence base for TWM

Statistical analysis of our results

We are working with Huddersfield University to build the evidence base for TWM. For starters they have re-analysed the results we have gathered from all of our clients over the last 2 years. It isnt just good it is truly awesome.

This is part of the report:

‘The analyses of all outcomes from 120 consecutives clients that had 3 or 5 sessions of TWM  indicate a consistent pattern of statistically significant improvements. All outcomes show statistically significant improvements from session 1 to session 3. Large effect sizes in all analyses suggest that these improvements are not only statistically significant but also practically meaningful. Consistent improvements from session 1 to session 5 indicate sustained benefits over a longer period.’

We knew it, of course, but this is the scientific evidence.

We are particularly excitied because the clients we get referred to us tend to be in a bad way having suffered long term emotional distress. We tend to be the ‘go to’ service now for people that are self-harming , feeling suicidal or experiencing debilitating anxiety, anger or depression but aren’t considered bad enough to be admitted or need help from the over-stretched mental health services.
