TWM practitioners make excellent person-centres supervisors and can support the personal and professional development of practitioners working in other caring professions as well as TWM practitioners and trainees.
Training is offered to experienced accredited TWM practitioners and involves a year working under supervision with supervisees and attending 6 group supervision and 6 training workshops to explore the role of a supervisor and the various models of supervision.
You will be invited to read and reflect on some key texts during the year.
These are:
Freedom to Practise Vols I and II
Inspiring Creative Supervision. Wood and Schuck.
Vital Practise. Sheila Ryan.
TWM accredited practitioners are encouraged to develop their own hubs locally where people can be part of a supportive community and learn The Walters Method toolkit.
They will be supported to run introductory workshops and meditation evenings and, if they wish, a foundation course for their hub. They will work alongside a more experienced trainer until they feel confident in delivering their own sessions with the support of another practitioner.
