As a trained TWM practitioner I aim to help you to feel more confident and resourceful when dealing with your own day-to-day challenges, helping you survive and thrive in your daily life.
Many of the skills I teach are practical techniques, easy to use and learn and my hope is that you will be able to embed these skills into your own self-care practice.
TWM is a body based psychotherapy which focuses on felt sensations. In addition I have a personal interest in other mind-body approaches to health and wellness and regularly practice yoga, mindfulness and breathing techniques and enjoy being outdoors spending time in nature.
I teach on the mindfulness course in the TWM training programme. Mindfulness practices can help us be aware of our thoughts but not judging them, it’s about realising our thoughts do not define or control you, they simply are. Mindfulness is a key component of emotional wellbeing helping us process our challenges in a calmer and more rational way and live and enjoy the present moment.
In recent years, as I have got older and dealing with my own life challenges, I have developed a keen interest ageing well and longevity. I believe that prevention and self-care are key to optimising health. The value of emotional wellbeing throughout our life should not be overlooked and learning to be aware of and how to manage difficult emotions can help you live your best life.
Feedback from clients:
“I really enjoyed our sessions thank you so much for helping me to take on board the spirit of mindfulness. I feel that I have explored so much and learnt so much about myself. I actually wonder whether I am a different person! I am certainly a lot calmer”
“It has helped me see things differently. I have found some things difficult but I am finding it easier to deal with my issues now and the sessions have changed the way I look at things. I do feel better equipped to cope and I feel able to incorporate some of the things in my life and how I approach them. I don’t feel as overwhelmed as I did before the sessions”
“I have learned not to be so hard on myself. I’ve learned the importance of being kinder to me and taking time for myself. I’ve realised that feeling better in my mind impacts on all aspects of my life”
